25 cm vs 19 cm folded height: how many extra mesh wire pallet cages does that put on your return truck?
❗ When buyers compare foldable pallet cages, they often look at the fold ratio in percentages.
But for return logistics, the more useful question is:
How many empty cages actually fit on the truck?
A difference of only 6 cm in folded height can materially change the number of collapsed units per return load - and therefore the transport cost per packaging cycle.
That becomes especially interesting when your current cage may be specified heavier than the application really requires.
For example, moving from one cage construction to another can improve return density without changing the pallet footprint.
So instead of asking only: “What is the fold ratio?” it may be better to ask:
“How many empty units can I actually return per truck - and is my current cage over-specified for the job?”
That comparison can reveal more than the percentage figure alone.

A useful check is not only how much the cage folds, but how many empty units you can
