BINDER receives BG ETEM certification for successful occupational health and safety management

BINDER GmbH has been certified for its occupational health and safety management system by the Berufsgenossenschaft Energie Textil Elektro Medienerzeugnisse.

BINDER GmbH – the world's leading specialist in simulation chambers for scientific and industrial laboratories – has reached a major milestone for occupational health and safety with the successful auditing and certification of its occupational health and safety management system (AMS). The audit and certification was performed by BG ETEM (Berufsgenossenschaft Energie Textil Elektro Medienerzeugnisse). Certification was issued in accordance with OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series). In use in more than 80 countries, OHSAS 18001 is one of the most important standards for occupational health and safety management systems. On Thursday, June 16, 2016, Dipl. Ing. Stefan Drodofsky, Technical Inspector for BG ETEM, formally awarded BINDER with the AMS certificate at the company headquarters in Tuttlingen. Together with Frank Wirth, Safety Officer, and Michael Leibinger, Fire Protection Officer, Jörg Nauel, Operations Manager, accepted the certificate on behalf of the BINDER management team. The aim of the occupational health and safety management system is twofold: firstly, to counteract accidents, injuries, and sicknesses during everyday work preventatively and with the support of processes; and secondly, to provide extensive protection for employee health. "Employees should come to work healthy and leave again healthy," said Jörg Nauel.
