How To Install Through Hole Slip Ring ?

Proper use and mounting instruction

1. Caution

A.Without specifying, this series slip ring only work in 60%RH or below humidity,and -20℃~ + 60℃ temperature environment. Slip ring should be far away from dust and humidity environment.

B.If slip ring works outdoor, protection shielding is necessary.

C.Slip ring can not support the weight of equipment which connected with it, rotating equipment should be fastened so that its weight will not fall on the rotor.

D.No force to slip ring in the direction of parallel to axis.

E.No damage to the surface of lead wire while equipment rotating, all lead wire can not bear weight while being aligned.

F.Because of possible geometric mismatching between the customer’s application and the slip ring, “hard Mounting” of both ends of the slip ring

(i.e., securing the rotor and stator such that is NO floating during operation) is not recommended and may cause premature failure.

G.Without specifying, all parameter should be in the range of specification indicated, such as:

Working Speed: 0-300rpm

Voltage: 0~380VAC/DC

Current: ≤5A per circuit

Dielectric Strength: 1000V@50HZ or higher between each circuit

Protection: IP54

2.Installation Guide

Shaft mounting way

(1)Put the slip ring in the desirable location and tighten four set screws (Not supplied) to the shaft. The max torque is 25 1b—in (Can not exceed).

(2)Route the wiring and make the necessary connections. Do not allow the wiring to restrict free rotation of the slip ring. Do not constrain wiring such that wire flexing (cold working) occurs. Doing so will ultimately cause failure (breakage of the wiring).

(3)Use 5/16 (Max diameter) screw fix the Anti-rotation tab properly.

Flange mounting (Customized) way

(1)Align the mounting holes in the flange to mounting base and install flat washers and mounting screws(NOT SUPPLIED).Securely tighten screws.

(2)Route the wiring and make the necessary connections. Do not allow the wiring to restrict free rotation of the slip ring.

(3)Use 5/16 (Max diameter) screw fix the Anti-rotation tab properly.
