D5096S All-in-One Safety Relay for Functional Safety Systems

The D5096S safety relay by GM International is a high-availability SIL 3 safety interface designed for functional safety applications in hazardous areas. The module provides reliable control of NE and ND/F&G loads while performing complete field diagnostics to enhance plant safety and system availability.
A key feature of the D5096S is its advanced diagnostic capability, including open-circuit, short-circuit, and loss of power supply detection. Through the integrated Line Fault Transparency (LFT) function, fault information is transferred directly to the digital output (when compatible), enabling significant savings in engineering time and wiring complexity while improving system visibility.
The relay offers a wide contact rating range from 24 Vdc/Vac up to 250 Vdc/Vac, up to 5 A, with gold-plated contacts suitable for low-level switching. Designed for harsh industrial environments, the D5096S supports installation in Zone 2 / Div. 2, features 2.5 kV isolation, G3 conformal coating, and operates from –40 to +70 °C. With universal DIN-rail and power bus mounting, the D5096S delivers a compact, all-in-one solution for demanding safety instrumented systems.
