Commonly used Bead Blasting Materials

Bead Blasting

Bead Blasting is a process where abrasive particles are ejected at high speed onto the surface of a material to clean, finish or modify the surface of the material.

Commonly used Bead Blasting Materials

Glass Bead Blasting: Glass beads are used to clean surfaces, strengthen metals, and produce a smooth matte or satin finish. Commonly used in automotive parts, aviation components, and molds.

Aluminum Oxide Blasting: Aluminum oxide effectively removes rust, paint, and surface contaminants. It is suitable for surface preparation before painting. It is also used for deburring, trimming, and engraving glass and stone.

Silicon Carbide Blasting: Silicon carbide is suitable for efficient removal of hard surfaces. It is very suitable for etching and cutting stone, sharpening cutting tools, and treating hard metal surfaces.

Stainless Steel Blasting: Glass beads or ceramic beads are used for stainless steel blasting to achieve a uniform matte effect without contaminating stainless steel and enhancing its corrosion resistance. Suitable for medical devices, food processing equipment, and building components.

Plastic Bead Blasting: Plastic beads are suitable for cleaning soft surfaces without damaging the substrate. They can effectively remove coatings and contaminants. Commonly used in aerospace components, precision automotive parts and electrical components.

Pomegranate sand blasting: Pomegranate sand is an environmentally friendly material that is highly effective in removing coatings and rust and can be reused. It is widely used in surface preparation before painting, water jet cutting, and shipbuilding and repair.
