Types Of Bearings
Ball Bearings
According to the type of rolling elements, bearings can be divided into ball bearings and roller bearings. Each type has multiple sub-categories suitable for different applications.
1.Deep Grooved Ball Bearings
The inner and outer rings include continuous deep grooves through which the balls roll. It can withstand radial and bidirectional axial strains, has low friction, and is intended for high-speed operation.
2.Angular Contact Ball Bearings
They are designed to bear radial and unidirectional axial loads. The wider the contact angle, the higher the axial load capacity. It is commonly employed in applications requiring high stiffness and accuracy.
3.Double Row Angular Contact Ball Bearings
Two contact angles can support both radial and bidirectional axial loads at the same time, as well as having greater stiffness and load-bearing capability.
4.Thrust Ball Bearings
They are mainly used to support axial loads and not radial loads. Thrust ball bearings come in two types: single-direction and double-direction.
5.Self-aligned Ball Bearings
The spherical design of the outer ring allows for some angle deviation between the inner and outer rings, which can automatically compensate for eccentricity induced by installation problems or shaft displacement.
6.Insert Ball Bearings / Pillow Block Bearings
The outer ring is spherical and installed in the bearing seat. It can adjust the slight centering error during installation. The structure is simple and easy to install.
7.Miniature Ball Bearings
Very small, usually used in light load and high-speed applications, with high rotation accuracy.
Ball bearings are suitable for high speeds and low loads, while roller bearings are suitable for heavier loads.
