Infypower Solar-Storage-Charge DC Bus Case for Zero-Carbon Industrial Park in China

Located in Jiangning Development Zone, Nanjing, China, INFYPOWER Nanjing Headquarters covers a total construction area of 115,000 square meters. It integrates four core functional zones: R&D Center, Smart Manufacturing Base, Operation Service Center and Sales Headquarters, dedicated to providing more efficient solutions for global energy transition. Selected as a national "14th Five-Year Plan" Photovoltaic-Energy storage-Direct Current-Flexibility demonstration project, this park serves as INFYPOWER’s technology testing ground and showcase window.
The INFYPOWER (Nanjing) Zero-Carbon Park Project focuses on the new energy solution of "PV + Energy Storage + Charging + DC" and has successfully implemented this key technology at its Nanjing park. By applying 4 sets of self-developed 525kW liquid-cooled PCS to 4 units of 2000kVA transformers in the park for AC/DC conversion, the project has established a unified 750V DC bus system. This transformation enables flexible power sharing and dynamic capacity expansion between adjacent distribution transformers, significantly enhancing power supply capacity and reliability while establishing a foundational architecture for the direct interconnection and efficient coordination of multiple energy sources.
In terms of energy storage, a 1.5MW PV system is fully installed on the park roof and directly connected to the DC bus via 9 sets of 240kW MPPT DC conversion systems, maximizing the "generate-and-use-on-site" efficiency of green power and reducing conversion losses. Meanwhile, the system is equipped with 5 sets of energy storage devices with a total capacity of 1090kWh supporting 1P power charge-discharge, which store excess PV power during the day and ensure the stable operation of high-power charging systems.
For EV fast charging, the park is equipped with one 800kW DC/DC fully liquid-cooled split-type charging system, one 400kW DC/DC underground charging system, one 240kW integrated liquid-cooled charging pile, and one 525kW fully liquid-cooled V2G charging system. Different power cabinets can connect multiple charging terminals via the same DC bus.
The entire energy system collaborates with adjustable loads such as controllable air conditioners and full-area lighting, forming an intelligent "energy buffer zone" that effectively stabilizes load fluctuations and participates in grid demand response.
Smart Operation – Platform-Driven & External Collaboration
To achieve refined system operation, the project has deployed a Smart Energy Management Platform, which serves as the "nerve center" of the entire energy ecosystem. This platform not only enables comprehensive data collection and monitoring of all nodes under both AC and DC systems, but also expands the value of energy management through two key pathways:
Integration into Nanjing’s Virtual Power Plant (VPP) System: The park can flexibly adjust internal resources such as energy storage and flexible loads in response to VPP dispatching instructions, deeply participating in grid peak shaving and valley filling. While improving regional grid stability, it also explores a new market-oriented revenue model.
Carbon Credit Measurement & Carbon Footprint Tracking: The platform integrates these two core functions, establishing a management closed loop from accurate carbon emission accounting to continuous optimization. It provides quantified data support and decision-making basis for the park to achieve dual-carbon goals and participate in the future carbon trading market.
