In the laminated glass manufacturing process, loading glass into an autoclave is a highly delicate and potentially hazardous operation, especially when handling jumbo-sized glass sheets.

ITALCARRELLI TPEN transporters simplify this process by directly picking up the glass rack from the end of the laminated line and placing it into the autoclave. These transporters are fully customizable, offering different platform sizes for LES (3,210mm), jumbo (6,000mm), and XXL jumbo (9,000mm and beyond) glass racks, with load capacities ranging from 15-30 tons to over 60 tons.

Leveraging extensive expertise in automation and autonomous vehicles, Italcarrelli has developed an innovative LGV semi-automatic guidance system to enhance both efficiency and safety during autoclave loading. This system, based on Laser Guided Vehicle (LGV) technology, enables high-precision automated navigation to the autoclave’s entrance.

The operator’s role is minimal—they only need to position the transporter near the autoclave and activate the semi-automatic mode. From this point, the system autonomously takes control, guiding the machine with precision until the glass rack is safely unloaded inside the autoclave. The operator acts solely as a supervisor.
