01/Air inlet hole The air inlet hole of an electrochemical sensor is attached with a PTFE film, which safeguards against water or oil intrusion. Additionally, you can customize sensors' measurement ranges and sensitivities. A larger aperture enhances sensitivity and resolution, while a smaller aperture widens the measurement range. 02/Temperatures Extreme temperatures c...

I. The Dual Faces of H₂S: Coexistence of Warning and Extreme Toxicity Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) has a unique "rotten egg smell," yet it is also a highly toxic neurotoxin. It can be detected by the sense of smell at low concentrations (0.13ppm), but high concentrations (above 1000ppm) quickly paralyze the olfactory nerves, causing poisoning without awareness. Its explosive r...

1. How often does the sensor need to be recalibrated? The interval between initial calibration and recalibration depends on multiple factors, including the sensor’s operating temperature, humidity, pressure conditions, the types of gases it is exposed to, and the duration of exposure. 2. How significant is the difference in cross-interference? The degree of cross-interf...

TVOC is one of the three types of organic pollutants in the air (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, volatile organic compounds, and aldehyde compounds) with more severe impacts. VOC refers to organic compounds with a saturated vapor pressure exceeding 133.32 Pa at room temperature, boiling between 50°C and 250°C. They exist in the air in the form of vapor at normal temper...

MaiYa Sensor Technology | In-Depth Analysis of Gas Safety Methane (CH₄), a colorless and odorless flammable gas, is often called an "invisible bomb"—it is both a clean energy source and a high-risk factor for explosions. When the methane concentration in the air reaches 5%-15%, a violent explosion can occur upon contact with an open flame; when the concentration exceeds ...

Calibration of the zero point of the PID sensor: It is best not to calibrate the zero point of the PID sensor in pure nitrogen. Dry and clean air is recommended. This is mainly because the oxygen in the clean and dry air will generate ozone in the VUV environment. The generated ozone has a certain cleaning effect on the internal components of the PID sensor. In addition,...

The catalytic combustion method sensor is a type of gas sensor that is specifically designed to detect various combustible gases and is the most widely used in this field. It detects gases based on the heat generated by the combustion of combustible gases on an oxidation catalyst. Catalytic combustion gas sensors have a high reaction rate and perform excellently in t...

You should be aware of the following when conducting tests with chlorine standard gas. Chlorine (Cl₂) is a strong oxidant and has corrosiveness. When using Cl₂ to test some sensors, corrosion-resistant materials should be used in the testing system. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or electroplated and polished stainless steel are recommended. Before testing products with ...

Firstly, we know, electrochemical sensors have a PTFE film attached to the air inlet hole. On the one hand, this film can prevent water or oil from entering the sensor. On the other hand, the measurement range and sensitivity of the sensor can be adjusted. A larger aperture can improve the sensitivity and resolution of the device, while a smaller aperture can increase it...

Among the more than 900 kinds of indoor chemicals and biological substances identified, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) account for more than 350 kinds (even at concentrations below 1ppb). Of these, more than 20 kinds are carcinogens or mutagens. Due to their low individual concentrations but high variety, they are collectively referred to as VOCs, and their total amou...

First，ensor must not be stored for more than 6 months and must be stored in a sealed container at 0-20°C in clean air. Sensors should not be stored in environments with liquid vapours, and all sensors should not be applied in environments containing organic vapours, as this will destroy the performance of all sensors. So, the sensor should not be stored and used in envir...
