Have a look in this video at Micro-Hybrid’s sensorFUSION dynamic filter. This is an intelligent algorithm designed to filter out unwanted influences on the sensor readings. Tilt sensors will always detect high-frequency disturbances from vibrations, shock impacts, or quick movements that do not represent the real tilt the user is attempting to measure. SensorFUSION technology eliminates those irrelevant signals to isolate the real tilt while filtering out rapid variations.
Have a look at this part of the graph. It shows only a small amount of distortion. At this point in the graph, the sensor was being shaken very vigorously. You would expect to see large spikes, but with the sensorFUSION dynamic filter activated, the result contains no pronounced swings. This is vital in the field to ensure results are usable. It is accomplished in part by the use of application-specific parameter sets available from Micro-Hybrid. These presets are based on proven configurations tailored to standard use cases and can be transferred to the sensor using the SensorTOOL software, ensuring optimized performance for each application.
