We’re pleased to highlight Micro-Hybrid’s involvement in the NeoUVDes project, where the company has contributed to the development of UVC LED disinfection technology for incubator applications.

This work addresses an important challenge in healthcare and related environments: maintaining the highest possible hygiene standards in spaces where sensitive equipment and vulnerable users require particularly reliable disinfection solutions.

By focusing on incubators, Micro-Hybrid has helped explore how UVC LED technology can be applied in a highly specialized setting where cleanliness, safety, and system integration are especially critical.

UVC LED technology is gaining increasing attention because of its potential to enable compact, efficient, and application-specific disinfection concepts. Compared with conventional approaches, UVC LED-based systems can offer new possibilities in terms of design flexibility, targeted irradiation, and integration into modern technical systems. Within the NeoUVDes project, this creates an opportunity to investigate how advanced disinfection solutions can be tailored to the specific requirements of incubator environments.

For Micro-Hybrid, the project reflects the company’s broader strength in developing innovative electronic and sensor-based solutions for demanding applications. Participating in NeoUVDes demonstrates how interdisciplinary expertise and collaborative research can support the advancement of practical technologies with real relevance for healthcare, laboratory, and controlled-environment use cases.

Projects like NeoUVDes show that innovation in medical and technical hygiene is not only about improving efficiency, but also about creating smarter, more reliable systems that support safer conditions where they matter most. We are excited to see how UVC LED technology continues to evolve and how targeted developments such as this can contribute to the next generation of disinfection solutions.
