New facility for OCA
Installation of an OCA bi-rail conveyor in the aeronautics sector.
A few days ago our team completed the installation of a conveyor for the aeronautical industry. Accompanied by our faithful partners OMIA and Futura, our company has designed a complete custom-made painting line for our customer.
A new installation for a new need
This new project was framed by several objectives: install a conveyor in the painting line in order to pace the process every 2.5 minutes. Our teams worked on the subject to achieve the output desired by our customer. After several months of design and manufacturing, it was in June that our installation allowed us to create efficient and ergonomic workstations in a surface treatment division.
OCA's turnkey overhead handling solution in surface treatment
To best meet our customer's needs, OCA has surrounded itself with a trusted partner. It is thus in collaboration with the OMIA teams that we have installed :
- Two paint booths (one automatic booth and one touch-up booth)
- A desolvation booth
- An oven
All these elements, crossed by our bi-rail conveyor, constituted a complete and functional painting line.
The particularity of the OCA bi-rail conveyor
For this specific project, OCA designed a motorized bi-rail overhead chain conveyor, together with our long-time partner: Futura. Indeed, this type of conveyor finds its place in the surface treatment sector since it can pass through a very high temperature oven up to 700 C°, the maximum temperature used by our customer being 80 °C. The second specificity of our bi-rail overhead conveyor is to be able to carry out dynamic storage, i.e. the accumulation of several references on this installation.
