New acquisition for OCA

OCA strengthens its growth strategy in the air handling sector with the acquisition of TechniManut

Jean-François SOURISSEAU, CEO of OCA, a renowned company in the air handling sector in France for more than 40 years, announced at the beginning of the year the purchase of a small business in the Deux-Sèvres region (79).

An opportunity in the air

The purchase of TechniManut, a company based in Cerizay, is part of the transfer of its founder's business. "There is a double interest in this operation. On the one hand, to complete OCA's current activity by proposing a different technology: the accumulation of light loads on bi-rail conveying systems, applying to sectors of activity different from ours," explains Jean-François SOURISSEAU. "On the other hand, it was obvious for me to safeguard the jobs of the employees present in this company. Made in France has always been a core value at OCA, so it was unquestionable that this local dimension would be maintained through TechniManut. To date, we have already recruited two additional people within TechniManut. We are also looking for a welding mechanic.

The benefits of this acquisition

For 28 years, this engineering company specialized in the design, manufacture and installation of overhead handling systems, has acquired and capitalized on significant know-how and experience in the automotive sector. "Following this takeover, TechniManut will allow our customers to benefit from a complete expertise in the power&free overhead handling sector, and in the design of ancillary equipment for overhead conveyors", specified Jean-François SOURISSEAU.

OCA's goal over the past forty years has always been to become the reference in the industrial sector for overhead handling. Our new acquisition affirms us as such and reinforces our status as experts. As you know, OCA already designs aerial handling systems. This acquisition will not only allow us to offer more complete services to our customers, but it will also provide them with a more specific response in terms of automation and specific machines.

Today, TechniManut retains its independence, working with its own engineers and technicians. By working together, the two companies will continue their activities and intend to expand their markets nationally and internationally. TechniManut will continue to exist under the same name but will change its graphic identity by the end of 2022 in order to be in line with the BRS group to which it belongs.

OCA affirms its evolution strategy

"We firmly believe that by joining forces with TechniManut, we will be able to quickly achieve our strategic objectives," explained Jean-François. Founded in 1994, TechniManut has a varied clientele, including both small and medium-sized businesses and large French and international industrial groups.

"We wish to adapt and evolve the solutions already implemented in the two companies in order to meet the new needs of our customers and those of their markets" indicates Jean-François SOURISSEAU.
