OPS-INGERSOLL - The new HIGH SPEED EAGLE V9

New standards for actual requirements

Higher flexibility and increased availability are the actual requirements of the market for machine tools. Based on this situation, OPS-INGERSOLL developed the new HSC-machine HIGH SPEED EAGLE V9.

Double-gantry-drive, steel milling applications without compromise or even the compact dimensions with remarkable axis-travel. The list of highlights of the new HIGH SPEED EAGLE V9 could be continued . But mainly OPS-INGERSOLL wanted to develop a highly productive machine for uncompromising steel applications.

With the double-gantry-drive it appears to be succeeded, unique in its class. The second drive in the X-axis guarantees higher dynamics and rigidity. In addition to that, the C-axis is equipped with a direct-drive and enables revolution speeds auf > 100 rpm..

OPS-INGEROSLL also goes new ways concerning the spindle selection, especially for HSK A63, with 26.000 rpm and 25 kW. This new spindle generation in combination with ICS, results in significant low expansion and causes an enormous reduction of the time and cost intensive “warm up times”.

This means, OPS-INGERSOLL sets new standards for precision and working times with the new HIGH SPEED EAGLE V9. Besides the HSK A63 spindle high torque, the machine can also be equipped with the spindles HSK E40 (42.000 rpm, 15 kW), the HSK E50 (36.000 rpm, 17 kW) and HSK A63 (24.000 rpm, 22 kW).

A common feature - automation

Despite of these various innovative highlights OPS-INGERSOLL''s top priority is the high flexibility of the HIGH SPEED EAGLE V9 and the possibility for automation. The machine convinces with compact floor space dimensions of 3.120 x 2.180 mm, height 2.850 mm and axis-travel of 600 x 800 x 500 mm. On the other side, the 5-axis machines is build up by the world-wide patented variable 3/5-axis-concept. This means, in the 3-axis-version, the machine can handle work pieces of up to 2.000 kg on a solid table of 1.000 x 600 mm. With the newly developed B-/C-axis on the other hand, work pieces of up to 500 kg can be handled (Ø 600 x 550 mm) in 5-axis with tilting work plane and with guided tool tip applications.

In the automated version, pallets up to 500 x 500 mm can be handled automatically either from the left or the right side. Thus the operation from the front is not restricted in any way. The machine can be connected to any kind of automation and also a separate tool handling could be integrated.

Equipped with the Heidenhain control iTNC 530 HSCI, the HIGH SPEED EAGLE V9 can be integrated in the workshop environment. The machine is prepared for several cooling-lubricants (air, water or minimal quantity lubrication).
