The Huarmey General Hospital, located in the Áncash region of Peru, is a key healthcare facility for the population of the entire province and surrounding districts. This hospital adheres to the highest standards of medical infrastructure quality. Its three levels house services such as hospitalization, surgery, obstetrics, emergency care, specialist consultations, and diagnostic imaging, all within an environment designed to withstand seismic activity, maintain asepsis, and operate with energy efficiency.

An OPTIMUS COMPACT public address and voice alarm system, certified under the European EN 54 standard, has been installed to provide an effective communication solution that complements this modern infrastructure. This technology enables the management of announcements, emergencies, and background music with complete reliability across all areas of the hospital, enhancing both operational efficiency and security.

The system integrates OPTIMUS’ COMPACT and COMPACT-E digital matrices, which centralise audio control and allow the installation to be configured according to the specific needs of each hospital area. The UMX cards handle key functions such as monitoring audio outputs, managing speakers, and automating events. The DA-500D4 amplifiers provide power to the speakers, ensuring full and precise sound coverage, while the CP40-MP3BT sound source allows music or messages to be played from various sources. The SCM-01 software, installed at a central control point, enables complete system monitoring.

To ensure seamless communication, 15 MD-30C microphone desks have been distributed throughout the hospital. These devices allow for quick and clear delivery of both localized and general messages. The installation is further supported by redundant power supplies and signal adapters, ensuring stable operation even in the event of electrical failures.
