New PCH 1106 T Temperature and Vibration sensor

When mounted on a bearing housing the PCH 1106 T Vibration Sensor will measure the surface temperature as well as the vibrations from the rotating shaft. An increase in temperature usually indicates a bearing problem and must be attended to. The temperature measurement is directly converted to a 4-20 mA signal inside the sensor.

Any unbalance or misalignment in the machine is monitored by the vibration sensor in real time and a 4-20 mA signal is provided to the client PLC for trending or alarm.

The combination of temperature and vibration measurements in one sensor saves mounting of a PT100 sensor.

SIL-2 Redundant Vibration Guard according to EN 13849

PCH Engineering launches a compact redundant Vibration Guard to meet customer requirements for redundancy in their control system. For safety-related parts of a control system Functional Safety Guidelines state the need for redundancy and diagnostics in the structure. PCH 1290 is equipped with two independent System Failure and Alarm Relays as well as two 4-20 mA outputs (redundancy). The build-in 1002 D architecture will leave the alarm function fully operational although one of the two parallel measuring channels is at fault. An internal watchdog timer and self-test function for each of the two measuring channels complete the redundancy.
