LNG meets Ex Protection on the way to a climate-neutral energy supply

Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) will make a decisive contribution towards CO2 neutrality in the coming years.

R. STAHL has been supporting these activities for years with explosion-proof automation products - human machine interfaces, remote I/O and network solutions that are certified for shipping. R. STAHL supplies leading compressor manufacturers with explosion-proof IS1+ remote I/O stations for zone 1 with intrinsically safe signal circuits for cooling energy carriers and compressing them into liquid gas. These stations are specially optimized for the limited installation space on the compressors and meet the restrictive requirements for use on LNG tankers.

In addition, the SHARK HMI is an explosion-proof operating and visualization station for extreme use on ships, which is used 24/7 in temperatures from -40 °C to + 65 °C. Our network solutions, which can be individually tailored to the requirements, also meet the same temperature range.
