TÜV certified PROFIsafe inclination sensor
The PROFIsafe inclination sensor model NBT/S3 from TWK-ELEKTRONIK has now been certified by TÜV in accordance with the EN61508 and ISO13849 standards.
Due to its redundant sensor technology and internal monitoring measures, it achieves the classification according to SIL2 or PLd. Thus it can be operated directly on a safe control system. It provides a safe tilt angle with a resolution of 0.01 degree. The version with one measuring axis has a measuring range of ± 90 degrees and is suitable for all tilting or rotating movements around an axis. In contrast, the 2-axis version with a measuring range of ± 20 degrees for both axes is suitable for levelling platforms and vehicles. For the calculation of the complete safety function with calculation tools such as Sistema, a VDMA characteristics library is available for download. The standard version comes with M12 connectors for power supply and for two PROFINET ports. This allows it to be integrated into the existing PROFINET network in line or tree structure. LEDs for supply voltage, link and status facilitate commissioning and troubleshooting. It has a robust aluminum or stainless steel housing and can be supplied with protection classes up to IP69K.
