In practice, it is reliability that counts in particular. Both the open check and the cleaning of all contact surfaces are important functions which provide the necessary security in automatic operation.

Thanks to the use of state-of-the-art materials (ceramic lock balls, spring packages in accordance with the latest development standard), it was possible for the opening pressure to be reduced to 6bar while increasing clamping power at the same time. 6bar of pneumatic pressure for the "reclamping" function results in a clamping power of 20,000 N per chuck. This is tantamount to an improvement of 60% in comparison with the preceding model.

Needless to say, the pallets and chucking spigots of all previous MTS models are also compatible with version 2.0. The basic pneumatic functions are operated with the help of standard control units. Information about open checks can be transmitted to a machine control system by means of signals.
