Basic Stamping Die Components

Stamping molds are tools used to punch, bend, stretch, etc. metal sheets and strips in molds. It usually consists of multiple component parts, each of which plays a key role and together ensures the accuracy and efficiency of the stamping process.

Die plates usually refer to a plate or component in a stamping mold, which plays an important supporting and positioning role in the entire mold structure. It usually refers to four types: locating Plates, shim Plates, backing Plates and die shoe.

Guide Posts are key components in stamping molds. Their main function is to ensure that the upper and lower dies are accurately aligned and positioned during punch operation. Guide posts usually appear in pairs, one connecting the upper mold and the other connecting the lower mold.

Guide Bushings are a key component in stamping dies and are usually used together with guide columns to ensure the accurate alignment and positioning of the upper and lower dies during punch operation.

Die spring is a spring used in stamping dies. Its main function is to provide elastic support and restoring force for the mold while absorbing shock and vibration.

Locating Pins are positioning components in stamping molds, used to ensure the accurate positioning of the workpiece in the mold. These pins are typically embedded into one or both sides of the mold and mate with locating holes in the workpiece to ensure that the workpiece remains precisely in the desired position during punch operations.

In the stamping die, the punch is an important component. Its main function is to cut, form, and drill the workpiece during the punch operation. The design and shape of the punch depends on the specific use and processing requirements of the mold.

In stamping molds, fastening components are elements that connect and secure the various components of the mold. They are crucial to the stability, accuracy and reliability of the mold. Common fasteners are as follows:Bolts and Nuts,Horn and nut washers,Flange bolts.
