ROHM has recently expanded its portfolio of Schottky barrier diodes by 24 new compact high efficiency models (12 RBR series and 12 RBQ series). These devices – 178 in total – ¬ are ideal for protection and rectification circuits in automotive, industrial equipment, and consumer applications.

The devices are ideal for driving motors in base stations (cooling fans) and industrial applications such as factory automation equipment requiring 24V input.

The new company, “HAIMOSIC (SHANGHAI) CO.,LTD.” is scheduled to be established in China in December 2021, and will be owned 80% by Shanghai Zhenghai Semiconductor Technology Co., Ltd. (Zhenghai Semiconductor) of Zhenghai Group and 20% by ROHM.

ROHM’s new compact high accuracy barometric pressure sensor IC, BM1390GLV (-Z), featuring a waterproof rating of IPX8, is ideal for home appliances, industrial equipment, and compact IoT devices.

ROHM developed four new 600V IGBT Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs), BM6437x series, that deliver best-in-class low noise characteristics together with low loss ideal for power conversion in inverters. The devices are used in compact industrial equipment, such as small capacity motors for robots, as well as home appliances – including air conditioners and washing machines.

ROHM developed the GMR320 series of shunt resistors featuring a rated power of 10W. GMR320 series is the largest rated power product in ROHM high-power low-ohmic GMR series lineup designed for high power applications in the automotive, industrial equipment, and home appliances .
