To achieve refine boring and milling result with LYMCO ZENTRUM-200Q
This week, LYMCO team visited one of the owner of the ZENTRUM-200Q.
Some words from our customer Mr. Franc Lin, owner of a local machine tool shop specialized in horizontal boring & milling.
“…It is a big I.D. (we are cutting)…” says Mr. Lin, The main purpose of obtaining the LYMCO 200Q was to machine large size inner diameter of oil country lathe spindle castings. “…we rough the castings on other machines, and when we need to finish the bore, we bring it to the 200Q. The ratio of the ram to the required cutting diameter allows the cutting result to be consistent from 9” to 25” bores.”
In today’s market, horizontal boring and milling machines (HBM) with 110mm (4.3”) spindle diameter are now a popular pick, yet the capacity was limited. LYMCO worked with its customers to bring two types of configurations to the modern machine shops:
1. High torque, 2000 rpm spindle with precision ground box type guide ways for heavy duty jobs such as valve flange cutting between 10 to 24”
2. High rpm, 3000 rpm spindle for shops prefer to utilize speed instead of depth of cut
The ZENTRUM-200Q was equipped with a 1250x1250mm (49.2x49.2”) table, and 32 tools at the automatic tool changer and magazine, or more as an option. Accessories such as tool measurement and parts probe are available through optional upgrades. Coolant through the tool is another optional upgrade that many customers would prefer.
