The customer’s goal is to keep the material under pressure for a predetermined period of time and to introduce gas to verify that there are no leaks.

To achieve this, we have equipped the hydraulic press with a pressure-maintaining blocking valve and proportional valves, which automatically restore both the pressure and piston stroke to the preset values.

The machine is equipped with photoelectric barriers, which make the work area safe and immediately stop the pressing cycle if an operator comes between them.

Upon customer request, the light curtains are deactivated for the entire pressure holding time, i.e. during the period in which the cylinder is not moving. This gives the operator the possibility to carry out leak tests.

This four-column hydraulic press for leak tests develops a power of 40 tons and has work tables of 900 x 700mm.

The hydraulic power unit has a 4 kW motor and 10 meter long hoses, so it can be positioned far from the press inside the workshop.

All controls for operating the electro-hydraulic press are located on a console, which also features the Siemens KTP 700 digital screen.
