Solenoid Valves with quick coupling for hot water and steam applications

The valves 18.00x are single chamber straight valves, available as normally closed and normally open 2/2-way variants as well as 3/2-way. Several nominal widths in the range from DN 1.2 to DN 2.5 are offered to meet application specific requirements.

Being equipped with either threaded tube clamp or push fit connections the valves can be flexibly connected allowing configuration of multi-valve units. Especially in combination with the push-fit system ‘FitSys18'' from A. u. K. Müller fluid distribution systems can be realized with a high degree of flexibility for simple and space-saving installations without tools.

All plastic components of solenoid valves 18.00x are made from thermally resistant poly phenylene sulphone (PPSU). Thus, it can withstand temperatures for saturated steam of 143°C at 3 bar/290°F at 43.5 psi without problem. The material is approved by KTW (hot water) and W270 (microbiology). NSF 169 approved variants are available.

In comparison to brass components, which may run the risk of lead contamination, the plastic valves are 100 % lead free. For vending applications, this also shows the advantage that the plastic material does not affect the taste of the dispensed drink. A further advantage occurs during operation, as the cooling of hot water in plastic components is much lower than brass and, therefore, delivers at a more consistent temperature.

In addition, the plastic surface has an increased resistance to the build-up of calcium carbonate (lime scale).
